Firework

So...I watched the Katy Perry - Firework video for the first time today and I love it! I always liked the song cause it was really catchy and cute (I'm a sucker for a nice beat and chorus, I listen to lyrics later, lol) but after seeing the video I love it even more. I love the messages in the video and what the song means... talk about a spirit lifter, if you havent seen/heard it check it out below. I also pasted some of my favorite lyrics in the song...

Sometimes life and people beat us down so much we forget the power and purpose inside of us...we lose ourselves and allow things to eat away at us...just nice to be motivated and reminded sometimes that you're special and capable of doing anything you desire!

    Never heard this girls music until now, and the words that she said are true indeed...she did catch me off guard asking me if i felt like a plastic bag bawhahahaha! but she had a good way of putting that...but yeah, I AM A FIREWORK!! YES!! Good post Mo, you did good...lol

    LOL..omg, I heart her, you should check it out... and hey you know some people feel that way drifting in the wind with no real direction (uh oh, just got a word out of that one, lol) and yes you are honey! LOL :) Thanks boo.

Hey you! I hope you've being progressive thus far in this new year. Its been amazing for me in so many ways and I'm just grateful for each day and the new opportunities presented. :) I've been in a really 'reflective' mood here lately and saw a picture with the old cliche 'Dont Know What You Got Til Its Gone' and it got my wheels to turning and made me think really long and hard about some of the things that I no longer have... and if I truly recognized them for what they were, now and then.  In a lot of ways I agree with the statement and I've used it before but I'm curious what type of lens people are looking through when they say it, whether they view it positively or negatively, cause I think it can be used both ways. So occasionally, my co-workers and I have this 'hot topic' tradition where we discuss controversial, interesting, and just juicy and 'hot' stuff at work during lunch, lol. When I was little, I thought my daddy was the KING! I mean, he was the man... he was powerful, something like a superhero, he took care of his family and he could make things happen that would make me say 'WOW' and make me think, "How did he do that?"...my dad could do no wrong and I thought he had magic powers...
